Lunch with Kvinneforening and a talk by Miss Sarah Mahaffy

We are grateful to our member Mrs Solveig Wilson, leader of the Norwegian Church’s Ladies’ Circle (Kvinneforening) for an invitation to lunch when our member Miss Sarah Mahaffy will give an illustrated talk about her grandparents Sir George Ponsonby & Elisa Broch, respectively Private Secretary and Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Maud of Norway.

In later life, Sir George became an Equerry to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Sarah has written a book about her family called ‘Maud and Victoria’ (named, respectively, after her aunt and mother).
